HOUSEHOLD CLAIMS HANDLER

Due to expansion in their household division, our client is looking to hire an experienced Household Claims Handler, with a great career path available for the successful candidate. 

 

Salary: £25k to £35k (depending on experience) plus extensive benefits 

 

Job Summary 

You will oversee a portfolio of household claims and manage the claims process for household customers, from start to finish. 

 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Handling calls: Taking and making calls to customers about the status of their claim 
  • Setting up claims: Capturing information from the customer and establishing the facts of the incident 
  • Validating documents: Ensuring all relevant documents are returned at the end of the claim 
  • Liaising with suppliers: Ensuring suppliers have all the information they need to handle the claim 
  • Meeting quality targets: Ensuring the department's quality targets are met 
  • Treating customers fairly: Ensuring customers are treated fairly and professionally 
  • Protecting data: Safeguarding customer information and following the Data Protection Act

Minimum experience: You will ideally have at least 2 years previous household claims experience.
