EXO Claims Recruitment Services are delighted to be working with one of the UK's most successful Motor Insurers.

The role is a Large Loss Claims Handler to proactively manage a portfolio of high value claims of upmost severity which will include fatality, severe brain and spinal cord injuries.

The role can be fully remote 

Salary range £75k to £100k plus DOE on experience and Authority Limit.

Permanent, full time

This role will be covering Large Loss/Complex Claims across the UK on a remote working from home basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively manage your own portfolio of high value claims of upmost severity which will include fatality, severe brain and spinal cord injuries, most claims will be reserved above £3m and up to £30m(DoE).
• Contribute to the creation, design and implementation of the technical and commercial strategy of Large Loss as directed.
• Ensure all claims outside the agreed financial authority and limits are referred in accordance with the Large Loss referral process
• Ensure all new and internally reallocated claims are reserved within agreed SLA
• Maintain and improve stakeholder confidence in the Large Loss team by ensuring these high value cases are handled properly throughout their lifecycle with a high degree of technical excellence
• Maintain a detailed working knowledge of current and developing legislation, working practices and Indemnity and Liability
• Carry out technical audits as directed and record your findings, highlighting any knowledge shortfalls or trends that you identify and providing recommendations on how to rectify these
• Maintain Reinsurer confidence by liaising with them in a professional and timely manner
• Ensure all claims which cross the threshold of reporting are reported to Reinsurers within agreed timescales and in accordance with the Reinsurance Treaty
• Ensure that you are meeting customers’ fair and reasonable expectations and provide fair outcomes.
