Our client is a major UK insurer and due to significant growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Personal Injury Claims Handler to join their existing claims team. 

Overview 
EXO Claims are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Personal Injury Claims Handler to join our client’s dynamic team. 

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing Personal Injury insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and clerical skills, enabling them to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Salary: £30k to £40k (depending on experience) plus extensive benefits

As a PI handler, you will be responsible for representing those clients that have been injured and suffered a financial loss as a result of an RTA (road traffic accident) and where a claim against the Defendant for damages will be pursued using court proceedings as and when required. 

You will also be responsible for the investigation of our client’s claim for Personal Injury. Your role will involve obtaining medical evidence in support of your client’s claim, valuing the injuries sustained and gathering all the required evidence in respect of their losses.

Duties 

• Ability to manage a full case load
• Proactively reviewing accident circumstances and any relevant case law
• Assessing and investigate liability
• Reviewing Medical Reports & valuing injury claims
• Review incoming claims for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided. 
• Process claims in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements. 
• Communicate with clients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to gather additional information as needed. 
• Maintain accurate records of claims processed, including updates and status changes in the system. 
• Identify discrepancies or issues within claims and work to resolve them promptly. 
• Assist in the development of process improvements to enhance efficiency within the claims processing department. 
• Provide support to team members and participate in training sessions as required.

Experience 

• At least 2 years Personal Injury Motor Claims experience is required. 
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. 
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation. 
• Familiarity with insurance processes for personal injury claims is essential. 
• Proficient in using standard office software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite. 
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for liaising with various stakeholders.
