EXO Claims Recruitment Services are delighted to be working with one of the UK's most successful Motor Insurers in recruiting Large Loss Claims Handler

You'll report to Head of Large Loss and pro-actively manage a caseload of new and existing catastrophic personal injury claims exceeding £2 million+ and involving claims of the upmost severity. This will include spinal cord injuries, brain injuries and limb amputation.

This is a hybrid role with office locations in Manchester and South East.  

Salary range £60k to £85k plus DOE on experience and Authority Limit.

Permanent, full time.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively manage your own portfolio of high value claims which will include fatality, brain and spinal cord injuries. 
• Ensure all claims outside the agreed financial authority and limits are referred in accordance with the Large Loss referral process.
• Ensure all new and internally reallocated claims are reserved within agreed SLA.
• Maintain and improve stakeholder confidence in the Large Loss team by ensuring cases are handled properly throughout their lifecycle with a high degree of technical excellence.
• Maintain a detailed working knowledge of current and developing legislation, working practices and Indemnity and Liability.
• Maintain Reinsurer confidence by liaising with them in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure all claims which cross the threshold of reporting are reported to Reinsurers within agreed timescales. 
• Ensure that you are meeting customers’ fair and reasonable expectations and provide fair outcomes.
